Brian Bantum, MD
Brian Bantum, MD is a Reno native who was very active in sports growing up, and graduated from Reno High School. He graduated from UNR, completed Medical School training in New York, and 4 years of Specialty Training in Ohio, including training in pain management at Cleveland Clinic.
He is glad to be home again and excited to “Treat patients the way they ought to be treated.” He is especially interested in the field of disc herniation and healing. He is an expert in epidurals to promote healing for discs and has a keen interest in other causes for back pain that can mimic disc symptoms.
He uses his extensive knowledge of MRIs, the powerful tool of EMG Nerve Tests, and differential injections to confirm the cause of pain.
One of his favorite types of patients to treat are patients who have been in an auto accident. He feels it is unfortunate that suddenly there is unexpected pain and responsibility related to the accident to deal with. He enjoys making the transition back to normal life as easy as possible, and likes using the details of the accident to help determine where a patient’s pain is originating from.
He is happy to take the time to listen, so he can help you with your back pain, neck pain, and carpal tunnel syndrome.
“I feel like a whole new person! I slept the whole night without any pain. I am sending hugs, and friends, your way.” - Lucy R., Minden, NV
